PlayStation VR2 Review

PS VR2 review

As someone who really enjoyed the first PlayStation VR, I was really excited to get my hands on the PlayStation VR2 headset and dive into the world of virtual reality. After playing it extensively, I can confidently say that it’s a huge improvement over the first iteration and provides a truly immersive VR experience.

The headset itself is comfortable to wear, with a streamlined design that’s easy on the eyes. The improved resolution, refresh rate, and field of view make the visuals crystal clear and more realistic than ever before. The tracking system is also much more accurate and responsive, which makes for a seamless VR experience.

Probably the biggest launch title – Horizon Call of the Mountain, is a breathtaking experience. The graphics are stunning, and the game’s world is expansive, allowing for plenty of exploration and adventure. The game’s combat system is also well-designed, making for a satisfying and immersive gameplay experience.

Another game I’ve spent time with, Moss & Moss: Book II, on the other hand, is a charming and engaging game that’s perfect for gamers of all ages. The game’s world is beautifully designed, and the character of Quill is adorable and endearing. The gameplay is challenging and provides a good mix of puzzle-solving and action.

As for existing titles receiving updates – I played the VR update to Gran Turismo 7.  It is an impressive racing game that really showcases the power of the PSVR2 headset. The game’s visuals are stunning, and the sense of speed and immersion is truly impressive. The controls are intuitive, and the gameplay is challenging, making for a rewarding and exciting racing experience.

In terms of hardware specs, the PlayStation VR2 boasts an OLED display with a resolution of 4000 x 2080 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a field of view of 110 degrees. The headset also features inside-out tracking, which eliminates the need for external sensors and provides a more streamlined VR experience.

I highly recommend the PlayStation VR2 to any gamer looking for an immersive and engaging VR experience. The improved resolution, tracking system, and field of view make for a truly realistic and captivating experience. Of the launch titles we played – Horizon Call of the Mountain, Moss & Moss: Book II, and Gran Turismo 7, are all fantastic additions to the VR lineup, showcasing the full potential of the headset.
